Antonelli San Marco Montefalco Rosso 2023 is an organic, expressive, and food-friendly red wine produced by the historic Antonelli San Marco estate. Crafted predominantly from Sangiovese blended with small proportions of Sagrantino and other native or international red varieties, it undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation and is aged in oak casks and cement tanks to preserve its pure fruit character. In the glass, it presents an intense ruby-red color. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of ripe red cherry, wild berries, and red plum, accompanied by subtle nuances of dried herbs, floral violets, and sweet spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and well-structured, featuring bright Sangiovese acidity and fine-grained tannins contributed by the Sagrantino, leading into a clean, savory, and persistent finish.
