Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Bourbon (2026 Edition) marks the 15th milestone installment of the distillery’s highly coveted annual release. Under the guidance of Master Distiller Owen Martin, this edition represents a fascinating structural shift. Rather than relying on a traditional single-age statement, it embraces a perpetual, "solera-inspired" blending approach. The blend seamlessly marries newly selected older Kentucky Straight Bourbon stocks (distilled between 2014 and 2019, with some barrels exceeding 12 years of age) with "mother liquid" reserved from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Cask Strength batches. This continuous blend was then double-matured, undergoing an extended finishing process of up to three years in hand-selected Ruby Port wine casks before being bottled completely unfiltered at a roaring 117.8 proof.

Food Pairing: Rich dark chocolate ganache, Black Forest cake with dark cherry compote, thick-cut maple glazed bacon, or extra-aged Gouda.

TASTING NOTES Deep, majestic amber with distinct ruby-red reflections and an incredibly dense, viscous, and oily mouthfeel that clings to the palate.

NOSE Powerfully aromatic and seasonal; opens with sweet waves of cherry cordial, grenadine, and fresh strawberry cheesecake, before settling into rich honeycomb, Whoppers malted milk balls, warm apple cider donuts, and a rustic touch of old leather and toasted oak.

PALATE Immense, velvety, and deeply concentrated; decadent notes of black cherry compote, Nutella, and rich prune juice hit the tongue first. The mid-palate swells with caramelized brown sugar, crème brûlée, gingerbread, and a heavy port-wine sweetness that perfectly counters the heavy, structured wood tannins.

FINISH Exceptionally long, warm, and wonderfully spicy; leaves a lingering, multi-layered trail of fresh ground ginger, black tea, baking spices, raisin bran, and a final, sophisticated dryness from the red wine tannins.

SERVE Designed to be slowly sipped neat in a Glencairn glass on a quiet evening, though adding a few drops of spring water beautifully tempures the high proof and coaxes out the softer orchard fruit and vanilla notes.
