About the Angels & Cowboys Proprietary Red 2022
Angels & Cowboys Proprietary Red 2022 is a bold, soulful, and fruit-driven red blend that captures the adventurous spirit of Sonoma County winemaking. On the nose, this rich wine opens with an inviting and fragrant bouquet of dark berries, ripe plums, and sun-ripened blackberries, seamlessly layered with sweet baking spices, mocha, vanilla, and a subtle touch of earthy loam. The palate is full-bodied, lush, and rounded, presenting a velvety texture that frames concentrated flavors of dark fruit compote, cocoa, and black pepper. Balanced by smooth, supple tannins and a soft, approachable structural backbone from aging in French oak, it finishes with a long, decadent, and warming persistence.
Food Pairing: Pairs brilliantly with flame-grilled ribeye steak, barbecued meats, wood-fired meat pizzas, and hard artisanal cheeses like sharp white cheddar or Gouda.
91 Points - James Suckling
