About the anCnoc 2002 Vintage Release
anCnoc 2002 Vintage Release is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2002 at the Knockdhu Distillery and aged for around 14–15 years in hand-selected Spanish and American oak casks before being bottled in March 2017. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added coloring, it pairs signature honey and citrus profile notes with rich dried fruit and warm spice.
Food Pairing: Roasted pork loin with fruit compote, pan-seared duck breast, aged cheddar, milk chocolate desserts, or citrus tarts.
Tasting Notes : Bright amber in appearance with a smooth, rich, and creamy mouthfeel.
Nose : Packed with aromas of spicy Christmas cake, liquorice, sweet toffee, honey, vanilla, and gentle citrus.
Palate : Creamy vanilla and ground spices leading into ripe orchard fruits, honey, chocolate sweetness, and orange zest.
Finish : Long and warming with a spicy kick, lingering fruit sweetness, and gentle oak notes.
Serve : Serve neat at room temperature in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped tasting glass, or add a few drops of water to release deeper fruit and spice aromas.
