Amrut Master Distiller's Reserve 8 Year Old Cask #3505 Indian Single Malt Whisky

Amrut Master Distiller's Reserve 8 Year Old Cask #3505 Indian Single Malt Whisky is a limited single-cask release hand-selected by Amrut's Master Distiller. Produced from Scottish peated malted barley, the whisky was filled in January 2014 and bottled in October 2022 after maturation involving ex-bourbon oak followed by a refill Pedro Ximenez sherry butt. Cask #3505 yielded only 510 bottles, released at 50% ABV.

Food Pairing: Smoked lamb, tandoori meats, aged cheddar, dried figs, roasted walnuts, dark chocolate, and sticky toffee pudding.

Tasting Notes: Rich and complex, combining dried fruit and confectionery sweetness with soft peat, citrus, tobacco and spice.

Nose: Dried figs and plums with toffee, chocolate, sweet tobacco, melon and restrained phenolic smoke.

Palate: Dried fruit and soft peat followed by toffee, honey, syrupy citrus, sweet tobacco, creaminess and spice.

Finish: Sweet and dry with lingering soft phenols.
