Amrut Kurinji Indian Single Malt Whisky

Amrut Kurinji Indian Single Malt Whisky is the second release in Amrut Distilleries' Single Malts of India series. Named for the Kurinji flower, which blooms once every twelve years, this Indian single malt is sourced from a mountainous region and was bottled in 2022 at 46% ABV. Kurinji emphasizes a distinctly floral and fruity profile, bringing together pear, melon, muscovado sugar, vanilla, citrus, honey, creamy toffee and gentle oak.

Food Pairing: Tandoori chicken, grilled prawns, mild creamy cheeses, roasted cashews, honey-glazed pork, pear tart, vanilla desserts, and citrus cheesecake.

Tasting Notes: Floral and fruit-forward, balancing ripe orchard and melon fruit with citrus, honey, vanilla, creamy toffee, oak and warming spice.

Nose: Floral notes with pear, melon, muscovado sugar, vanilla, oak and a touch of toffee.

Palate: Fruity citrus character followed by honey and vanilla, creamy toffee, floral notes, gentle oak and ginger candy.

Finish: Sweet and floral with a dusting of cracked pepper.
