About the Agrosan Amaro dell'Etna
Agrosan Amaro dell'Etna is a traditional Sicilian digestive liqueur crafted from an authentic 1901 recipe featuring over 26 herbs, roots, and aromatic botanicals sourced from the slopes of Mount Etna. Slow-macerated and produced using historic methods, it delivers a rich, complex balance of sweet citrus, herbal spice, and pleasingly bitter medicinal undertones.
Food Pairing: Cannoli, dark chocolate tarts, Sicilian pastries, aged cheeses, panettone, and rich fruit desserts.
Tasting Notes : Deep dark amber with reddish mahogany highlights, offering a smooth, syrupy, and medium-to-full-bodied mouthfeel on the palate.
Nose : Aromatic bitter orange peel, wild herbs, rhubarb, gentian root, licorice, and subtle warm baking spices.
Palate : Rich and balanced with initial sweet citrus notes of candied orange, evolving into herbal complexity, bitter gentian, cinchona bark, and subtle spice.
Finish : Long, warm, and pleasantly bitter with lingering notes of herbal spice and dried citrus peel.
Serve : Best served chilled or over ice with an orange twist, after a meal as a digestif, or mixed with soda water.
