Château Palmer Alter Ego de Palmer 2021 is a suave, beautifully detailed, and aromatic red wine from the renowned Margaux appellation on Bordeaux's Left Bank. Produced as a distinct, terroir-focused expression of Château Palmer rather than a traditional second wine, it features a higher proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in this vintage alongside Merlot and Petit Verdot. In the glass, it displays a vibrant ruby-purple hue and opens with expressive notes of fresh blackberries, cassis, red plums, violet blossoms, graphite, and subtle cedar oak. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, refined, and lively, offering crisp dark fruit flavors anchored by ultra-fine, silky tannins and a energetic, mineral-driven finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted rack of lamb, duck breast, pan-seared veal chops, braised beef short ribs, and aged cheeses like Comté.
