About the Alheit Vineyards Monument Semillon
Monument Semillon is a single-vineyard white from old Franschhoek bushvines planted in 1936. Marzipan, bitter orange and candied rind define its aromatic profile, while the palate is textured, full-bodied and gently earthy. Wild fermentation and extended lees maturation in old barrels build depth and complexity.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with mushroom risotto, roast poultry, grilled langoustines, or aged goat cheese.
