Alfred Giraud Voyage French Malt Whisky

A rare and innovative French malt whisky that represents the first release in the "Exploratory" series from the Giraud family. This expression is a marriage of two distinct French single malts—one peated and one unpeated—that have undergone a unique double-aging process. Initially matured in new French Limousin and American oak casks, the blend is finished in casks that previously held Robinia (Black Locust) wood and Sauternes wine. The result is a bold, sophisticated profile with floral notes of white flowers and acacia honey, balanced by elegant smoke, ripe stone fruits, and a long, complex finish of sweet spice and toasted oak.

Flavors of black currant, honey, russet apple, and pepper before it succumbs to the cognac's influence.
