Wild Life Rye Whisky

Wild Life Rye Whisky is an Alberta-crafted Canadian rye whisky produced by Wild Life Distillery in Canmore. Made from a mashbill of 88% rye and 12% malted barley, it is distilled in a 500L alembic copper pot still and matured for at least 3.5 years in 53-gallon American white oak barrels. Bottled at 45.9% ABV, it showcases locally focused Alberta whisky production using prairie grain and Rocky Mountain water.

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, grilled steak, barbecued pork, aged cheddar, roasted nuts, maple-glazed bacon, and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: A robust, grain-forward rye whisky combining caramelized sweetness, toasted oak and warming rye spice.

Nose: Rye grain, caramel, vanilla and toasted oak with underlying baking spice.

Palate: Full-flavoured rye spice with caramelized grain, vanilla, toasted oak and peppery warmth.

Finish: Warming and persistent with lingering rye spice, caramel and dry oak.
