Albert Bichot Chablis Les Vaudesirs Grand Cru Domaine Long-Depaquit 2021 750ml

This Grand Cru starts off with a welcoming nose reminiscent of citrus fruit and delicate floral (lily of the valley, chamomile) notes. The palate expresses moderate and very pleasing acidity which makes this wine a typical representation of a Chablis Grand Cru: mineral and intense.

A perfect match for seafood and white-fleshed fish. It can also accompany fine white meats and full-flavored cheeses.

This is also mildly funky aromatically while exhibiting an interesting touch of pineapple. Otherwise, there is almost painful intensity to the refined and beautifully delineated middleweight flavors that possess an almost delicate texture while terminating in a compact and primary finish where a touch of wood surfaces. This notably firm effort is already more complex than the Blanchot and a wine that should age well over the next decade. Barrel Sample: 91-94

Pale primrose colour, a little more fruit showing, then greater generosity on the palate, and a well balanced mouthfeel ending in some saline notes at the back. There is adequate tension to support the fairly generous white fruit. Barrel Sample: 91-94
