About the Alamos Malbec
Alamos Malbec is an incredibly vibrant, expressive, and approachable red wine that showcases the very best of high-altitude viticulture in Mendoza. Sourced from estate vineyards nestled at the foothills of the Andes Mountains at elevations ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 feet, the grapes benefit from intense mountain sunlight and cool night temperatures that yield concentrated, balanced fruit with natural acidity. Aged for six to eight months in French oak barrels, it reveals a deep purple color in the glass. On the nose, it opens with a fragrant bouquet of dark cherries, ripe black plums, and blackcurrants, beautifully integrated with nuances of crushed violet, sweet spices, and vanilla. The palate is silky and medium-bodied, offering juicy blackberry and cassis flavors framed by soft, supple tannins and a smooth finish featuring subtle notes of cocoa and black pepper.
Food Pairing: Pairs brilliantly with classic grilled ribeye steak with chimichurri, roasted lamb chops, rich beef empanadas, or aged hard cheeses like Manchego.
