About the Alambique Serrano Blend #11 Besa Diablo
Alambique Serrano Blend #11 'Besa Diablo' (Kiss of the Devil) is an artisanal Mexican rum crafted by the Krassel family in the Sierra Mazateca region of Oaxaca. Distilled from fresh sugarcane juice and artisanal cane juice syrup, this expression is a complex blend of single casks, including french oak and barrel-aged expressions. Bottled without additives, chill-filtration, or added coloring, it presents a bold, wild profile balancing rich cane sweetness, tropical fruit, and oak character.
Food Pairing: Mexican mole negro, slow-roasted pork pibil, aged goat cheese, dark chocolate with sea salt, and grilled pineapples.
Tasting Notes : Deep amber with copper highlights, offering a rich, viscous, and full-bodied mouthfeel on the palate.
Nose : Fresh sugarcane, cooked agave, toasted oak, ripe tropical fruit, vanilla, and subtle herbal funk.
Palate : Complex and robust with notes of raw sugar, ripe plantain, toasted wood spice, caramel, and earthiness.
Finish : Long, warm, and lingering with notes of dry oak, warm spice, and sweet sugarcane.
Serve : Best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a Glencairn glass, or with a few drops of water to unlock its complex aromas.
