Agave de Cortes Anejo Mezcal

Agave de Cortés Añejo Mezcal is a beautifully aged artisanal mezcal crafted in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, often referred to as the world capital of mezcal. Produced by the renowned Casa Cortés family, this expression is made from 100% Espadín agave that is roasted in an underground conical pit, fermented naturally, and double distilled. It is then aged for at least one year in American oak barrels. The careful aging process imparts deep, complex notes of wood and sweet spice that elegantly balance the traditional earthy and smoky characteristics of the roasted agave.

Food Pairing: Grilled steaks, rich mole poblano, dark chocolate desserts, smoked meats, and aged gouda cheese.

Tasting Notes : A rich amber-colored spirit with a smooth, velvety texture and a luxurious, warming presence.
