Cask 88 A Tale of Two Banffs Benrinnes 11 Year Old

Cask 88 A Tale of Two Banffs Benrinnes 11 Year Old is a limited single-cask Speyside single malt Scotch whisky created in collaboration with the Banff Whisky Experience. Distilled at Benrinnes in 2011, the whisky spent nine years maturing in ex-bourbon wood before receiving an additional two-year finish in Oloroso sherry octaves. Bottled at a cask strength of 56% ABV, this exclusive release celebrates the historic connection between Banffshire, Scotland and Banff, Alberta, combining Benrinnes' robust malt character with concentrated sherry-cask fruit, tannin and spice.

Food Pairing: Pair with aged cheddar, roasted nuts, charcuterie, dark chocolate, grilled meats or fruitcake.

Tasting Notes: Bold and complex, with bright fruit and citrus developing into dry tannins, rich malt, warming spice and concentrated oak character.

Nose: Red fruit and citrus mingle with sweet fruit-gum notes, vanilla and a touch of warming alcohol.

Palate: Full-bodied and notably dry, with firm tannins, understated ripe fruit, rich malt and characteristic Benrinnes savoury spice.

Finish: Exceptionally long, with developing oak spice, gentle sweetness and a lingering hint of tropical fruit.
