Tomintoul Cognac Cask Finish

Tomintoul Cognac Cask Finish is a small-batch Speyside single malt Scotch whisky crafted by Master Distiller Robert Fleming. Matured initially in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, selected whiskies are married together before being finished in hand-selected Cognac casks sourced from France. Bottled at 40% ABV, the Cognac finish adds rich sweetness, fruit and nutty complexity while complementing Tomintoul's characteristically smooth and approachable malt profile. 

Food Pairing: Pair with almond pastries, crème brûlée, roasted chestnuts, white chocolate, buttery shortbread, fruit tarts or mild creamy cheeses.

Tasting Notes: Smooth and richly layered, combining honeyed sweetness, citrus and nuts with creamy pastry, butterscotch, dried fruit and warming spice.

Nose: Light and lifted with chestnut, lemon rind, blossom honey and amaretti biscuits alongside hints of chamomile and fennel.

Palate: Sweet choux pastry and Chantilly cream mingle with sugared almonds, butterscotch, golden raisins and subtle rolling tobacco.

Finish: Warming and lingering with white chocolate, panettone and nutmeg fading into ginger spice.
