About the Quinta De Santa Teresa A&D Esculpido 2020 750ml
On the nose, this wine is elegant and complex, with notes of white fruit, spices and dried fruits.
On the palate, it has a velvety body, with concentration and salinity. Notes of ginger, stone fruit and a light vegetal touch, always with a well-matched wood. A juicy and persistent finish.
It will evolve well in the bottle.

A&D Wines is a family estate, run by Alexandre and Dialina Gomes, located in Baião, on the border between Vinho Verde and the Douro Valley. The winery was established in 1991 on property that had been in the family for six generations. Quinta de Santa Teresa is one of three labels produced by A&D Wines, and is devoted exclusively to the production Avesso, grown here on terraces separated by granite walls. This older vine avesso was fermented and aged for 1 year in 500L oak, evident through the gentle softening and cushioning on the sides of this medium wine, with green apple, meadow grasses and lemon textured with grippy granite, and finishing with a saline wash. The wood acts as a lovely backdrop to this smart wine, not overpowering, but positioning it nicely to partner with proteins, or enjoy solo. (Treve Ring).
