2XO American Oak Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

2XO American Oak Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the first expression in 2XO's Oak Series, created by renowned whiskey blender Dixon Dedman. The name 2XO, meaning "Two Times Oak," reflects Dedman's approach of introducing additional oak exposure during maturation. For American Oak, chains of charred American oak are inserted into barrels containing a moderate-rye bourbon mashbill with 18% rye. The resulting whiskey emphasizes rich caramel and toffee sweetness, roasted nuts and a lingering touch of spice.

Food Pairing: Barbecue pork ribs, smoked brisket, grilled steak, roasted nuts, aged cheddar, caramel desserts, pecan pie, and dark chocolate.
