Kenefick Ranch 'Chris's Cuvee' Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a remarkably bold, structured, and luxurious red wine that beautifully expresses the sun-drenched, volcanic terroir of the northern Napa Valley. Nestled at the foothills of the Palisades Mountain range in Calistoga, this estate-grown bottling unrolls a highly complex nose of ripe blackcurrants, dark plum, and chocolate shavings, intertwined with hints of sweet leather, cigar box, and grilled herbs. On the palate, it delivers an ample, full-bodied mouthfeel driven by a concentrated core of juicy blueberries and blackberry preserves, enveloped in round, creamy tannins. Balanced by an undercurrent of natural acidity, it glides into a seamless, velvety finish defined by rich mocha and baking spice notes.

Plenty of chocolate, berry and currant aromas and flavors. It’s full-bodied with round, creamy tannins and a flavorful finish. Chewy, yet polished. Blue fruit comes through with stones. Good improvement in quality here. This will come around nicely in 2023.
