Edradour 12 Year Old 2012 Sauternes Matured Small Batch

Edradour 12 Year Old 2012 Sauternes Matured Small Batch is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky matured entirely in first-fill Sauternes hogsheads. Distilled in April 2012 and bottled in June 2024, this limited small-batch release was drawn from seven casks and bottled at 48.2% ABV. The sweet-wine maturation complements Edradour's rich malt character with honeyed fruit, apricot, butterscotch and warming spice. Bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration, the release was limited to 2,332 bottles. 

Food Pairing: Pair with crème brûlée, apricot tart, blue cheese, honey-glazed nuts, buttery shortbread or vanilla custard.

Tasting Notes: Rich and honeyed with layers of ripe stone fruit, dried fruit, butterscotch and sweet pastry balanced by warming spice and oak.

Nose: Honeycomb and fresh apricot mingle with butterscotch, dried fruit, gingerbread and delicate baking spice.

Palate: Rich and rounded, with honeyed stone fruit, caramel and sweet malt layered with apricot, pastry and warming cloves.

Finish: Long and sweet, leaving lingering honey, dried fruit, butterscotch and gently warming spice.
