Ballechin 20 Year Old 2004 OGD Bourbon Cask Strength is a heavily peated Highland single malt Scotch whisky produced at Edradour Distillery. Distilled during February and March 2004, this limited small-batch release matured for 20 years in first-fill bourbon barrels before being bottled on March 4, 2024 at a natural cask strength of 52.8% ABV. Bottled without added colouring or chill filtration and limited to 2,016 bottles, it combines Ballechin's robust peat smoke with the vanilla, caramel, orchard fruit and toasted oak character developed through long bourbon-barrel maturation.

Food Pairing: Pair with smoked brisket, grilled pork, mature cheddar, roasted almonds, dark chocolate, apple crumble or vanilla-forward desserts.

Tasting Notes: Full-bodied and intensely smoky, balancing sweet bourbon-cask character with caramel, vanilla, ripe orchard fruit, toasted oak and warming spice.

Nose: Peat smoke and roasted apple mingle with caramel, vanilla, heather and gently toasted oak.

Palate: Rich and oily, with campfire smoke, sweet almonds, juicy apple and caramelized nectarine layered with toffee, vanilla and warming oak spice.

Finish: Long and smoky, with persistent peat, heather honey, vanilla sweetness, pepper and drying toasted oak.
