Signatory Vintage Symington's Choice Auchentoshan 24 Year Old 1999 Cask #4

Signatory Vintage Symington's Choice Auchentoshan 24 Year Old 1999 Cask #4 is a limited single-cask Lowland single malt Scotch whisky independently bottled by Signatory Vintage. Distilled at Auchentoshan in 1999, it matured for 24 years in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry Butt before being bottled in 2024 at a natural cask strength of 55.6% ABV. Drawn exclusively from Cask #4 with an outturn of just 689 bottles, this mature expression combines Auchentoshan's elegant character with the concentrated dried fruit, chocolate, spice and rich oak influence of prolonged Oloroso sherry maturation.

Food Pairing: Pair with dark chocolate, aged Manchego, roasted walnuts, dried figs, fruitcake, crème brûlée or slow-roasted meats with a rich glaze.

Tasting Notes: Rich and sherry-driven, with layers of dark and dried fruit, chocolate, roasted nuts and sweet oak complemented by warming spice and mature savoury complexity.

Nose: Dark cherries, plums and dried fruit mingle with dark chocolate, roasted coffee, polished oak and subtle earthy notes.

Palate: Full-bodied and concentrated, bringing together rich Oloroso fruit, raisins, dark berries and chocolate with roasted nuts, warming pepper and mature oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering dried fruit, dark chocolate, nutty sherry character, peppery spice and gently drying oak.
