About the Chateau Brane-Cantenac 2021
Château Brane-Cantenac is a well-regarded wine estate based in the Margaux appellation, in the Haut-Médoc region just north of Bordeaux city. The estate was ranked a second growth in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc and Graves and regularly receives praise for its eponymously titled “grand vin”. It is owned by Société Viticole Henri Lurton and although overseen by Henrui Lurton since 1992, the estate has been in the Lurton family for four generations. Recent vintages have been outstanding and this property is now producing the best wines in Margaux behind the superstars of Château Margaux, Palmer and Rauzan Ségla.
95 Points - James Suckling
Beautiful finesse here that shows currants, roasted red chili pepper and a hint of charcoal, mineral and pencil shavings. Very refined and layered with a juicy, medium body and a long, composed finish. Classy and very layered.
93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
