Knoll-Gv Ried Kreutles Federspiel is a white wine from the Wachau region of Austria:
Grape variety
Made from Grüner Veltliner grapes, which are known for their signature acidity and fruit flavors like lime, lemon, and grapefruit
Winemaking
The grapes are macerated for 4–6 hours, then gently pressed and fermented in wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on its lees for three months.
Tasting notes
Some say this wine has a crisp, herbal finish with notes of green peas, green apples, and tart pears. Others describe it as having a spicy finish with full stone fruit.
Food pairing
Goes well with seafood.
Aging
Grüner Veltliner wines are best drunk young, but higher-end bottles can be aged for a few years or up to a decade.
