Lagrimas de Dolores Anejo is made with agave Durangenis (maguey Cenizo) in the state of Durango. This mezcal is made by maestra mezcalera Fabiola Ávila.  She has a degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology with a specialization in fermentation from the Technological Institute of Durango. Raul Resendiz is a biochemist who also assists in the production of this mezcal. This mezcal is aged for one year in first-generation white oak barrels before bottling. It has notes of wood, caramel, and herbs.
