Villa Donoratico is a decidedly consistent and complex wine that never risks normality, demonstrating a character deeply linked to territory. Matured in oak, it is extraordinarily drinkable and faithful to its identity, year after year. A nose full of red fruit and a pleasant spice on the palate with notes reminiscent of licorice.

This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to spring rolls filled with minced meat, fennel salad with red lentils or spicy chestnut soup.

93 Points - Falstaff

Dense ruby in colour with a brightening rim. Immediately spiced on the nose, with aromas of white pepper, black currant, cocoa and light tobacco notes. Velvety and soft on the palate, with firm tannins and rich fruit leading to a long finish.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast

The nose begins with black cherries and blackberries, but eventually notes of salt and pepper push to the front. Cherries remain on the palate, with chocolate adding to the rich sweetness, before a complex finish of warmth, spice and dusty chalk. Tannins cling while the acidity sings.
