Expert tasting note: (2022 vintage) "Virtually opaque red-purple in color. The fresh dark-fruit aromas have hints of leaf and cedar. A lively palate shows juicy cassis to the fore. Leafy touches give way to concentrated licoricey black-fruit on the mid-palate. The wine is medium to full bodied with balanced alcohol. Alcohol is balanced to warm. Bitter licorice on the finish is mouth-wateringly fresh & followed by notes of tar, cinnamon and cedary oak.The finish ends quite drying & closed." - 04/23 DCAMW
