St Lucia Admiral Rodney 700ml

Admiral Rodney is one of the world’s finest rums. Made from 100% continuous still rums, Admiral Rodney is St. Lucia Distillers flagship in terms of age and complexity. The rum commemorates the English Admiral Rodney who famously “broke the line” and vanquished the French fleet at the Battle of the Saints in 1782.

As further stocks of aged rum come on line we are adding older rums into the blend. Currently the Admiral George Rodney blend averages 12 years and we are intending to get to an average of 15 years in the coming years. During 2009 Admiral Rodney won Gold at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in London and Gold at the World Spirits Competition in Germany and the Rum Trophy at the International Spirits Challenge.

Tasting Note: Bright amber, mahogany colour. Incredibly attractive nose packed with complexity. Rich honeyed fruit with prunes, sweet raisins and well integrated oak toast. On the palate concentrated, complex with velvety caramel crème brulee and hints of vanilla, spice and chocolate from long ageing. Well balanced and harmonious with an exceptionally long finish.
